An old friend from high school posted this alongside, "Studying for the GRE".
I am squalid without Christ, but He has exonerated me. He supplanted me when I was culpable and deserving of death. So I will give Him adulation forever.
Oh, help me remember too.
Happy New Year! Here's to another monumental one!
"Many are the plans in the mind of a man,
but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand."
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened,
and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you
wherever you go."
Wherever, Lord? I will hold onto this with every fiber of my being this year.
But, with very much hope and promise in my heart, I end the first night of this year dancing to this anthem:
"Love, it will not betray you,
dismay or enslave you, it will set you free
to be more like the man you were made to be.
There is a design, an alignment, a cry
of my heart to see
the beauty of love as it was made to be."
